I’m excited to be entering my third season coaching the Summerwood Stingrays Swim program. In addition to my time with Stingrays, I’ve spent the past three seasons coaching the Independence High School swim team, continuing my passion for developing athletes both in and out of the water.
For the past 17 years, I have been teaching Health and Physical Education, and throughout that time I’ve had the opportunity to coach a variety of sports. My experience includes youth development in basketball, soccer, softball, cross country, flag football, and swimming. Helping young athletes grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork is something I truly enjoy.
This program is especially meaningful to me as a parent as well—my son is part of the team and will be swimming with the 11–12 age group this season, and my daughter, Coral, will be serving as this year’s Shrimpers coach.
I’m looking forward to another great season and am grateful for the opportunity to continue building a positive, supportive environment where our young Stingrays can learn, grow, and succeed.
Hi, I’m Laili Son, a 17-year-old junior at Independence High School, and I’m excited to join the team as an Assistant Coach!
I’ve been swimming with Summerwood since 3rd grade and have continued my love for the sport by swimming competitively for MSA and now on the Indy varsity swim team.
In addition to swimming, I’m a varsity golfer and stay actively involved in my school and community. Outside of sports, I love staying active, spending time with friends, and being involved in different activities at school.
I’m excited to bring positive energy, encouragement, and strong team spirit to the pool this season!
Let’s Go Stingrays!
Hi guys! I’m Coach Ansley and I am so excited for swim this year!
Swimming has been such a big part of my life, and I have been part of a swim team since I was 5 years old. I started coaching and giving private lessons in high school and have loved every minute of helping swimmers learn, grow, and gain confidence in the water.
I’m looking forward to an awesome Stingrays season filled with hard work, fun, team spirit, and lots of great memories! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
~Go Rays!💙
Hi Stingrays! I’m so excited to be coaching the Shrimpers this year! 🦐💙
I’ve been swimming with the Stingrays for the past two seasons and have loved helping with the Shrimpers along the way. I’ve also spent the last two years teaching gymnastics at Perfect Balance, where I’ve had so much fun helping kids learn, grow, and build confidence.
I absolutely love working with kids and helping them gain new skills while having fun and feeling proud of themselves.
I can’t wait to get to know all of our swimmers, cheer them on, and make this an awesome season full of growth, confidence, and lots of fun!
